We built the platform we wished had existed when we first sat down at a chessboard — structured, bilingual, and built to turn a complete beginner into a confident player.
Who we are
TeachingChess is an online chess education platform based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. We work with schools, clubs, and individual learners across the Arab world and beyond — providing structured courses, engine-verified puzzle training, real competitive play, and verifiable certificates, in both Arabic and English.

To make structured chess education genuinely accessible — in Arabic — to any learner, anywhere, regardless of whether they have a coach, a club, or a textbook nearby.

Our teaching philosophy
Every idea is explained, then immediately practised on a live board — no lesson is a video you watch passively. You move the pieces. You see the consequences. You earn the next idea. Miss a puzzle twice and a hint arrives; three misses and the solution plays itself so you can study it, not stall on it. We believe the only way to learn chess is to play chess, and everything on this platform is built around that principle.
What makes us different
Most chess learning platforms are built in English first — if Arabic exists at all, it is a translation layer bolted on later. We built in Arabic from day one, which means the curriculum's logic, the error messages, the certificates, and the community all work natively in Arabic. Beyond language, we are one of the few platforms that issues certificates with a public verification page, so a student's achievement can be confirmed by a school or employer independently.
